Personal profile(个人简介)

Dr Tian Ran   Lin acquired his PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of   Western Australia in 2006, specialized in Structure Acoustics, Noise and Vibration   Control. He then worked for Queensland University of Technology, Australia from   early 2007, and stayed there until 2015 before he relocated to Qingdao China.   Dr Lin has worked as a ‘Taishan Scholar’ Distinguished Professor in Mechanical   Engineering at Qingdao University of Technology since 2015. He established   the Center for Structural Acoustics and Machine Fault Diagnosis at Qingdao   University of Technology in 2015 to undertake fundamental and applied research   work in acoustics, noise and vibration analysis and control, signal   processing, condition monitoring, automated machine fault diagnostic and prognostic.   Dr Lin publishes regularly at leading journals in his field of research   including Journal of the Acoustical   Society of America, Journal of Sound and Vibration, Mechanical Systems and   Signal Processing, Reliability Engineering and System Safety, Structural   Health Monitoring, Journal of Vibration and Acoustics, Measurement, IEEE-TIE,   IEEE-TIM, Applied Acoustics etc. He is regularly invited to review papers for more than 40 highly reputable   international journals and review books and book proposals for Elsevier, Springers   and CRC Press. Dr Lin is currently an Associate Editor for Journal of   Vibration Engineering and Technologies, a guest editor for Journal of Sound   and Vibration. Dr Lin has also provided professional service to several academic   related organizations. He served as the general co-chair for two   international scientific conferences in 2018 and 2019 respectively and participated   in organizing many other international conferences either as a member of the   organizing committee or scientific committee. He is the general chair of the   19th Asia Pacific Vibration Conference which will be held between   12-15th, May 2022 in Qingdao. Dr Lin also held several adjunct   positions at various institutions. He is a honorable visiting professor at De   Montfort University in United Kingdom, a visiting research fellow at Queensland   University of Technology, Australia. He is a fellow of the International   Society of Engineering Asset Management, a member of the international   steering committee of Asia Pacific Vibration Conference, a full member of the   Acoustical Society of America, a senior member of the Chinese Mechanical   Engineering Society, and a senior member of the Chinese Society for Vibration   Engineering.
